For general bore cleaning and copper removal I use a new product, Bore-Tech “Eliminator”. No odor and no work, just spray it in the bore let it set (I leave it over night) and dry patch out. I would have thought that would be enough but the only way I have found to completly avoid rust is to wipe down with a very light oil.
